Welcome to the Ansonia Alternative Education Program
This program is funded by Priority School District Grant funds, appropriated by the State Department of Education. Ansonia opened a new and expanded alternative education program in September 2004 and, on February 12, 2007, began operating out of the Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley, 1 Positive Place, Shelton. A total of 38 students are presently enrolled. Last June, all four seniors enrolled in the program graduated.
The school hours and telephone number have been changed since the move to the Boys and Girls Club: The school day is 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m., while the new telephone number is 922-9249.
