May 6th ~ Our wonderful PTO was at it again.  This past Wednesday, they successfully transformed the teacher’s lounge into “Little Hawaii”, in honor of Teacher and Nurse Appreciation Day.  The room was adorned with leis, grass skirts and a tiki hut, while “Tiny Bubbles” by Don Ho played in the background.  The Prendergast Staff enjoyed a luncheon also provided by the PTO.  We would like to take this opportunity to thank our PTO for their constant dedication and devotion to the students of Prendergast School.  Click here for pictures.

April 4th ~ Mrs. Pavia's First Grade class travels to South Africa.  Stop by the school if you'd like to see a Power Point presentation of the day.  Artifacts are also on display.

March 31st ~ April 4th - Scholastic Book Fair.  Thank you PTO for a job well done!

February 28th - On February 6, 2008, Dr. H. Samnta (Mr. E), a working scientist visited Prendergast School. 

February 11th - Art Teacher Danine Curtis announces the winners for the Heart of Prendergast Contest.  Click here to read about it.

February 8th - The 100th day of school is a very exciting day!  67 students who had perfect attendance for the first 100 days received a chain necklace with a tag or medal at a ceremony held in the cafeteria.  

February 4th - Thank you to our 150 readers. 

February 1st - Prendergast School will be celebrating Connecticut Loves to Read Day on February 1st.  Volunteers are an integral part of our reading celebration.  Invitations have been sent to all the parents/caregivers of students at Prendergast School as well as inviting many members of our community.  If you are interested in reading, please notify your child's teacher no later than Tuesday, January 29th, or if you are a member of the community and would like to read, please call us at 736-5080.  Thank you for your continued support in our children's education.
