Welcome to Kindergarten at Ansonia Public Schools!

Kindergarten Registration for the 2021-2022 school year is open ONLINE! Children registering for Kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before January 1, 2022.

We are so excited that your child will be joining us in Kindergarten this fall. This page serves as the connection to all Countdown to Kindergarten information and activities.

Let's get started!

STEP 1: Please begin by completing the ONLINE Student Registration Form HERE.

STEP 2: Once you have submitted the Student Registration Form, please email the following documents to **YOU MUST INCLUDE YOUR CHILD'S FULL NAME IN THE SUBJECT LINE OF THE EMAIL.

1. Child's Birth Certificate

2. Driver's License or ID of Parent/Guardian

3. Two Proofs of Residence-- mortgage or rental agreement AND current utility bill (ex. gas, electricity, phone, cable)

4. Child's Health Assessment Form (*Registration will not be complete until the school nurse medically clears your child.)

STEP 3: We would love to get to know your child! Please complete the Kindergarten Parent Questionnaire HERE.

STEP 4: Please complete the Consent for Mutual Exchange of Information HERE.

STEP 5: Tell us more about your child's early childhood experiences by completing the Early Childhood Education Experience Survey HERE. Spanish Version HERE.

STEP 6: Please complete the Lunch Information Form HERE.

What’s next?

*Your child will now receive an appointment for a  Kindergarten Screening.  The Kindergarten Screening is a brief assessment, about 15 minutes, that offers a snapshot of your child’s development.  It assesses the following skills: Language, Motor, Concept, Self-Help and Social. The screening will be conducted by the School Readiness Coordinator.
