Summer Reading & Enrichment

It’s that time of year to encourage your students to participate in CONNECTICUT READS, the 2021 Governor’s Summer Reading Challenge!

To support summer reading, the CT State Library is offering students and families access to RBDigital, a vast collection of free audiobooks and eBooks. For more information, visit the RBDigital Web site at https://iconnct.rbdigital.com. Additionally, the National Emergency Library is offering digitized books to students and the public at no cost. This temporary collection of books can be accessed at https://archive.org/details/nationalemergencylibrary.

Keep a record of your summer reading in your journal. In August, if you return your journal to your teacher, you will will be eligible to enter your name to win a tablet!

You can access the journal and recommended books on the state website: https://portal.ct.gov/SDE/CTRead/Connecticut-Reads

In addition to summer reading, to keep those literacy skills sharpened, your child will have access to Lexia PowerUp all summer (7 & 8)! You can access Lexia PowerUp via your child's Clever account. Also, continue to take advantage of all the wonderful learning resources on our Distance Learning Resources page over the summer!
